Manifesto
We live in exciting though confusing times. The internet is impacting our society in an accelerating way while our social fabric is not suited to keep up with it.
We are left in a void. A void where we need to leave behind our old belief systems and organizational models while new credible ones have yet to emerge.
Project Copernicus fills the void. First by signaling (distribution) failures in the systems as we know them, second by exploring alternatives in the fields of exponential technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual worlds and blockchains.
As they are igniting changes in the interaction between humans and machines (AI), our physical and virtual reality (virtual worlds) and principals and agents (blockchains) these emerging technologies are impacting the world as we know it, in a fundamental way.
Project Copernicus is excited about this impact and is convinced it will lead to a better world.
In a network of artists, scientists and entrepreneurs we understand and respect the power of these technologies and explore them in a curious and grounded way. A collection of experiments here in fuels expositions, ignites conversations and shapes publications about the impact of exponential technologies.
Project Copernicus ultimately envisions a world where exponential technologies lead to frictionless economic interactions, personal (digital) autonomy and honest distribution of the fruits of digital interaction.
Being deeply rooted in the long-lasting trends of individualization, globalization and digitalization Project Copernicus wants to contribute to creating distributed value systems for the digital age that are flexible, safe and just by (natural) design.
And in being so, form a sustainable social contract for the digital age..
